Pastoral Care Ministry
1 Thessalonians 5:11- “Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”
Our Pastoral Care Ministry is determined to assure that none of our members are left behind. They bring emotional and spiritual support to families in their times of struggle and need.
Our Pastoral Care Ministry involves:
- New Members Ministry
- Sick/Hospitalize Members Ministry
- Wind Blows Members Ministry
- Visitors Ministry
- Bereavement Ministry
New Members Ministry
This Ministry is responsible to welcome our New Members into the Rhema family. We handle ministry questions and concerns; we assure that our New Members are registered for Membership Class and we follow up with them by letter and telephone. This branch also encourages our New Members to get involved in volunteers ministries.
Sick/ Hospitalize Members Ministry
This ministry provides spiritual and emotional support to our members who are sick in the hospital or in their homes. We call them, send them cards, and visit them.
Wind Blows Members Ministry
This ministry follows up on members that have been absent for more than 2 consecutive week. We bring them words of encouragement and pray with them. We show them concerns and provide them with necessary help that will enable them to be back in action.
Visitors Ministry
This Ministry is the first hand of contact with new visitors to Rhema. We follow up with our visitors through a letter and a telephone call; with a welcoming spirit, we produce a sense of belonging that will cause them to return and become a member.
Bereavement Ministry
This ministry provides support to families that are bereaving. We assist families during funeral arrangements; we show our sympathy through cards, flowers, and phone calls. Grief support is also available for additional assistance.
